Camps
This camp is designed to teach and improve the fundamental skills of rowing technique, training, and racing, as well as provide exposure to collegiate level rowing. Instruction includes on the water development, both in sweep and sculling boats, ergometer technique and testing, video tape analysis and core based training methods.
Who?
All female rowers and coxswains (ages 13-18) of varying skill levels are invited to attend this camp at the University of Virginia.
Housing
All campers will stay at St. Anne's Belfield School (STAB), 2132 Ivy Road, Charlottesville VA 22903. The STAB boarding facilities are conveniently located adjacent to the UVA campus and are newly furnished and air-conditioned. Rooms are arranged in suites with two rooms sharing a bathroom. Meals are provided and served in the school dining room. Linens are not provided. The rooms do not contain refrigerators or microwaves.
Transportation
We will provide transportation to and from the Charlottesville Airport, train or bus station.
Cost
$750. Please make checks out to Cavalier Rowing Camp. There is a non-refundable $200 deposit due with the application in order to reserve a space. Camp fee includes coaching, housing, meals, transportation and dorm and medical supervision.
Registration
Click here to register online. Confirmation of reservation will be made via email once we have received camp registration form, copy of insurance card (front and back) and deposit. Check in for each session begins at 1:00pm, and will be located on the south side of Lee-Duval Hall, the main administration building at STAB. Check out will commence at 11:00am.
